Volunteering at ALA annual

Attendees of the ALA annual conference in New Orleans still have the possibility of volunteering in the Libraries Build Communities projects to help rebuild libraries and the communities in and around New Orleans on Friday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 27. Program description: Friday, June 23 OR Tuesday, June 27, 9:30 am – 5:30 pm Help rebuild New Orleans. Participate in one or both of these daylong community service efforts. Exact jobs to be determined as we work with The New Orleans Public Library and community service groups such as Habitat for Humanities, United Way, etc. All participants will be notified in advance of the various projects and be able to pick the one in which they wish to participate. Your registration fee will be contributed to the ‘ALA Hurricane Katrina Library Relief Fund.’...
