As the first USF librarian at the Lakeland campus (now Polytechnic), I opened the USF Polytechnic Library in January 2007 and have developed its various services. I received my MLIS from the Université de Montréal in 1995. I first worked as an information broker and information professional on various Internet projects in Québec, Canada and in French-speaking Europe. Before moving to Lakeland in Spring 2005, I spent five years as the Reference Librarian for the University of Louisville Laura Kersey Library of Engineering, Physical Science and Technology. A blogger since 2001, I've created and maintained several sites in, and outside, of the biblioblogosphere. Active in SLA, I've held various board positions in the Science and Technology Division, the Information Technology Division and the Kentucky Chapter. I currently serve as Chair of the Information Technology Division. At the University of South Florida, I'm a member of the USFP Academic & Student Affairs Council, the USFP Faculty Governance Council, and additional academic and professional committees.
