Inspec's SLA Student Travel Award

If you were a Librarian, in charge of the science or engineering collections, how would you go about promoting databases within your collection to the appropriate departments that can benefit from it? What could the database producers do to assist in your efforts (e.g., send you promotional items, etc.). Explain how your efforts will benefit your organization.

That's the challenge to students looking to attend the Special Libraries Association conference in Denver CO (June 3-6, 2007). Students looking to win the $1200 Inspec Award can submit an essay answering the questions above. To enter, you must be a student member of SLA and attending your first conference. The deadline for your submission is March 1, 2007.
