Clemson University seeks an energetic, creative, and service-oriented librarian who will provide information services to students, faculty, and staff in the physical sciences and mathematics disciplines (Chemistry, Physics, Geology, Mathematics and Computer Science). This is a 12-month tenure-track position with faculty rank and status.
Requirements: ALA-accredited MLS degree; a minimum of two years experience providing reference services in the physical sciences or an additional degree in one of the above-mentioned subject areas (or an equivalent combination of experience and education).
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of modern information services practices and collection development; knowledge of electronic databases and internet searching; ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff; instructional experience; evidence of ability to do self-directed work without close supervision; excellent oral/written communication skills; strong commitment to client-centered service; evidence of or potential for professional and/or scholarly activity.
Salary: Minimum $40,000; rank and competitive salary based on the successful candidate’s qualifications and experience.
