Blogging CE class in Baltimore and bloggers get-together

Sunday June 11th, I will be teaching a pre-conference workshop at SLA titled Weblogging for Beginners: a Practical Approach. Time is running out for registering so don’t miss out if you are interested in blogging but not quite sure where to start.
There is no deadline and no registration required for the Bloggers Get-Together though on Monday from 1:30 to 3:30 PM. As Chair of the IT Division’s Blogging Section, I’m inviting all librarians bloggers or interested in blogging for a bit of social time and a game of pool at Edgar’s Billiards Club & Restaurant (on the Baltimore Inner Harbor Skywalk, between the Convention Center and the Hyatt Regency). Look for the “SLA Bloggers Get Together” sign on the patio. This is a “dutch” event.

As the first USF librarian at the Lakeland campus (now Polytechnic), I opened the USF Polytechnic Library in January 2007 and have developed its various services. I've held positions as information broker, Internet consultant and academic librarian in Canada, the US and Europe. A blogger since 2001, I've created and maintained several sites in, and outside, of the biblioblogosphere. I'm active in SLA, and currently serve as on the boards of the Academic Division and the Florida-Caribbean Chapter.
