Issues in Science & Technology Librarianship is now accepting proposals for articles for its upcoming issues. Abstracts should be sent to Andrea L. Duda for consideration. Author guidelines are available.
Upcoming themes are:
- Winter 2005
Theme: Budgets (e.g., cost of print vs. electronic, coping with reduced funds, innovative strategies) - Spring 2005
Theme: Open access journals (e.g., providing access from the library; publisher points of view; society publishers, etc. - Summer 2005
Theme: All topics - Fall 2005
Theme: Facilities (e.g., new buildings; consolidated libraries; renovated facilities; living with outdated facilities; incorporating technology, etc.

As the first USF librarian at the Lakeland campus (now Polytechnic), I opened the USF Polytechnic Library in January 2007 and have developed its various services. I've held positions as information broker, Internet consultant and academic librarian in Canada, the US and Europe. A blogger since 2001, I've created and maintained several sites in, and outside, of the biblioblogosphere. I'm active in SLA, and currently serve as on the boards of the Academic Division and the Florida-Caribbean Chapter.
