Bob Michaelson pinpointed a new study by Thomson-ISI (October 2004) authored by Marie E. McVeigh entitled Open Access Journals in the ISI Citation Databases: Analysis of Impact Factors and Citation Patterns (look in the right-hand column under “Highlighted Essays”. A sign-in is required).
