Drinkin’ in the PAM suite

Jun 7, 2004 by

John Dupuis here…Enjoying the atmosphere at SLA. One of the most important functions at any professional conference is networking, and that is certainly the case here. One of my favourite things at conferences is meeting with fellow librarians and especailly getting a chance to b***h at captive-audience vendors. Sometimes they even listen! Also, drinking and socializing with colleagues, like right now in the PAM suite at one of the PAM Open Houses. We (Catherine, Barbara Kern) and I just came back from the Dialog party where we enjoyed free food and, believe it or not, the Four Tops! One minor complaint…can you believe a suite bar in freakin’ NASHVILLE TENNESSEE with no whiskey! Back to drinkin’…

Thanks John!
