Science and Technology Serials Symposium

The University of Houston Libraries are sponsoring a one-day symposium entitled Science and Technology Serials Symposium. Build, Buy, or Lease? Serials Collections in Transition, Friday, July 16 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Keynote address is titled Serials Publishing for Scholarly Communications, OAI or DOA?, by Stephen Bosch, Materials Budget, Procurement, and Licensing Librarian, University of Arizona.

Panel topics include: Transitioning to E-journals, Collaborative Collection Management, and Conducting Serials Reviews.

Facilitated discussions on: Archiving issues, Getting Faculty Involved in Serials Management, Options for not Owning Serials.
