2004 Brian Stockdale Memorial Award

The International Society for Patent Information (PIUG) is now accepting nominations for its 2004 Brian Stockdale Memorial Award. The award covers standard travel expenses and conference registration fees to the PIUG Annual Meeting (Baltimore, May 22-27) for a amount up to $1500.

Criteria are to be new to the patent information profession, with less than 3 years total work experience in the field of patent information. Alternately, the recipient will be a student currently enrolled in a college or university with a demonstrated interest in pursuing a career in patents, preferably a career in patent information. Candidates must submit a short essay, not to exceed 500 words, describing their professional or educational interests, as well as their need for financial assistance with respect to conference attendance. Submissions must include the candidate’s name, mailing address, phone number, fax number and email address as well as a description of his or her patent information experience and current employer/university name and address.

Deadline is February 27, 2004.
