ASEE-ELD

Lots of activity coming up from ELD.
First, ELD has a new website.

Second, call for papers:
In Salt Lake City, Liz Mengel will be moderating a session on assessment and measurement and is welcoming abstracts. Najwa Hanel is moderating a session on Library Instruction. The deadline is October 5th. The Collection Development Issues session will be moderated by Julia Gelfand. She is particularly welcoming of presentations with a focus on strategies that have been successful in building new collections to support new research and instruction programs.

Lastly, A Development Task Force has been created to establish recommendations for an ELD Development Committee. In addition to this, the Task Force will be responsible for coordinating development activities for ELD during the 2003 – 2004 fiscal year, and for initiating new development contacts as needed, during the same year. The Task Force is chaired by Stephen Stich, with Mel DeSart as Vice-Chair. Additional members will be selected as needed.
