MIT offers digital library

Nov 5, 2002 by

A few weeks ago, I reported about MIT offering some of its curriculum for free on their website. MIT will now give access to a digital library, DSpace. The library will managed by a federation of eight universities. The software used is open-source so other libraries will be able to use it to develop their own services. [NY Times]
